I work from home, running my home based business and the wife is always on at me, the kids are so needy, my team always interfere with my daily routine and so I get nothing done!

Who said running a successful online business was as easy as 1, 2, 3,?

Or even four or five!

Er not me, but I also maintain the top paragraph is a phoney … I do run my successful online business from home but those distractions are man made … I made them!

They are not distractions in my book nor should they be ignored or simply swept under the carpet … if we had any carpet on the floors downstairs LOL

NO they are the reason I do what I do today, yesterday, and into tomorrow and beyond … I married my wife and I was involved in the conseption of my two lovely sons, luke and Toby … so as much as I can I embrace their distractions.

Most of my team know first hand that Luke loves nothing more than to run around the laminate flooring with a truck or some other toy … just as I am speaking on skype to them. He always use to scream everytime my good friend Jon would phone me. He was and still is pretty good in the background of most of my videos.

He is part of my family and hence part of my business and is why I chose this freedom lifestyle we now benefit from.

So please think about those around you that tell you to focus and shut out all the distractions around you, you may one day wake up and they have left you without a warning (well one you could hear). No my wife isn’t running away, but all too often you find this happen and then you become wealthy and unhappy … money only helps the world go around it won’t make you happy!

So enjoy some of those so called distractions as they are the reason we do what we do!

Distractions are only distractions, if you let them be, keep them as a reminder of why we do this … a Freedom Lifestyle of choice!

Just this morning I got a skype message from someone SELLING me, something that’s HUGE, something this lady is so happy about “being in at the top”

Now this has come from someone I offered to help about three weeks ago … now she is back to her old ways of selling the hype but not backing it up with any level of support, what so ever!

As I have been running my own successful online business for a few some time now I know what most people need in my team … SUPPORT!

My team need unbiased options for them to move their own successful online business upwards and onwards.

Are Gurus Good For Your Successful Online Business Or Bad?

What they don’t want or indeed need is a “Guru” telling them to focus on their product only or be tempted to join someone that promise using the hype, instead of delivering on a promise.

Successful Online Business Tips.

1 DO NOT put ALL your eggs in one basket … spread it around (but keep it at a mangeable level) Multiple revenue streams are a MUST for building a residual monthly income,

2 Try and Test all that you are involved with … don’t pass on anything you would n’t buy and use yourself

3 Make sure you are comfortable with your budget to get set up and running … all successful business owners take some risks.  Make considered risks and don’t over stretch yourself on time or budget

4 Think about diversification … how about adding some “Local Marketing” revenue to your successful online business.  Some nice profits can be made from local business owners that need an online presence.

5 Helping others to succeed will also keep you sane in this quite insular career … talking to others will also help with your own education, bouncing ideas off each other will always flush out the good from the bad.

A sad day as you may have read about before now … Zeek had its doors shut this week, many had this as part of their successful online business.

However, if you had spread your risk in a balanced nature you would be like me unperturbed about it all.  You see I never promote that my team members should risk huge amounts into MLM style products.  Spread the risk around a few of them and let them build …

You WILL need to be patient, but atleast you will be able to sleep at night.  Not worrying about how much you stand to lose. LOL

My advice is to always hedge your bets and have multiple revenue streams in place, including one or two high ticket online products.

Has Its “Ups and Downs”

As a somewhat of an experienced stay at home dad now, I wonder what is going to happen next. Luke has given us a coupleof frights lately … severe allergic reactions, that resulted in him swelling up like a helium filled red balloon.  He is also suffering hayfever for the first time … this is the weirdest of all.  We moved last November from a village location surrounded by fields of cereal crops, to a home in a local town.

Even, Emma and myself have experienced problems with the condition … the possible cause?

A row of Lime trees at the bottom of the garden giving off their pollen, is this the cause? And if so would this be negated by the local authorities planting female trees instead of male ones … or vice versa!  Who knows?

Being A Stay At Home Dad Just Gets Better

As a stay at home dad of one and making a pretty good job of it (if I say so myself) it was always inevitable that we would have the discussion about Luke having a playmate, al ittle brother or sister to play with.  Little did I know that it would follow the lines of “New home New baby” one of those many wifes tales of yesteryear.

That’s exactly what happened and this stay at home dad is proud to announce the birth of Toby Benjamin Smith on the  8th day of August 2012.  Weighing in at a nice weight of 8lbs 3 oz.

WOW, now we truly believe our family life is complete, me as a stay at home dad of two now and Emma on maternity leave.  The flexibility that being a stay at home dad allows us is the one factor, that makes it all seem more realistic.

However, we wouldn’t be able to achieve this nearly perfect lifestyle without my thriving home based business. I can work when I choose, I can choose who I work with byt more importantly I can also choose NOT to work.

Become a stay at home dad yourself.

Did you want to see more of your money disappear through bad decisions from politicains and bank executives?

I can guess the answer was and still is a definite and emphatic NO!

Luckily for the like minded people I work with we have decided to take action and ensure we can take more control of our futures without having to depend upon the bank executives and the politicians to make the correct decisions for our futures and not their own.

I for one am not amazed about the scandal that is occurring nearly every week now in the press. In fact, the press were hounded about their own phone hacking scandal … but who really are at fault?

It seems to me that they are all a pretty bad bunch and I am not allowing any of them to ruin my opportunity to make my 2012 a really special and successful year … not just for me but for my whole family.

D-Day (Due date) is now less than two weeks away and Luke has even learnt to say his brothers name, along with his own and his age now! So personally 2012 is going to be brilliant.

Financially 2012 is seeing my successful online business grow expotentionally and I hope it is for you too.

So many people believe there is some SEO secret that is going to propel them to the top of search engines, when in truth there is a huge myth surrounding you propelling a post to rank on page one of google.

I believe in more of a commonsense appraoch to demonstrating SEO practise and achieving a rank on page one of google.

We have for years, been conditioned into reading a certain way. We flick through newspapers and find Headlines that draw our attention in. SEO sectrets are no diffierent, you see so much more information hitting your e-mail boxes and your pc screens, whilst browsing.

Your attention is drawn by relevant headlines, that make you want to read more, or to allow you to simply sort the wheat from the chaff!

You will probably also see some subheaders that hone your attention even further, another so called SEO secret.

Images are also another great temptation to your eye and again getting your work on page one of google is also dependent upon how you use images in your online masterpieces.

People are still drawn in by images on the internet as they are whislt flicking the pages of a newspaper.

Then if you can put your searchable keywords into all the above and sensibly weave them into your body text, you will be well on your way to getting proficient at creating SEO Secrets beating pages and blog posts.

The search engine bots also like to see a natural and logical path around your website so internal linking through relevant words and phrases will keep their attention and will keep them on your website longer … you will be amazed at the results on your page ranking!

You will be able to rank on page one of google, staying there is key to your future ranking.

If you think that, once there you will reamin at the top without lifting another finger, then alas you are mistaken.

Make sure once you are at the top of google for your specific keywords and phrases, that you continue your efforts … blog and ctreate new pages regularly to keep ahead of the rest.

The Weather In a British Summer

I have just got up early on a Friday morning, not for any other reason but the fact that my respiratory system had decided for me.  Whilst the rest of our country has been experiencing some major floods due to torrential rain and adverse weather conditions, (British Summer Time now known as British Stormy Time) both myself and Emma have been suffering with the other blight faced my millions of the dreaded hayfever.

Fortunately for me that is, I can take something for it.  Poor Emma being pregnant cannot!  Yet another advantage of being a stay at home dad and not a mum to be for the second time.

Stay At Home Dad Asks The Question “Where is Your Money Safer?”

I have my answers but what do you think?  In a bank?

What where high flying executives can take your money and use it in unscrupulous ways, fix interest rates, pay their bonuses for lack of success instead of based upon results.  The more I see about banks the less confident I feel about letting them loose on my hard earned cash.

So how about under the mattress?  Now this worked in the olden days when people had little trust in banks (Do you see a pattern emerging here?)

Now seriously what about in the one thing that is almost certainly going to turn your money into a profit and pardon the pun “Safer than houses” Precious Metal, Gold would be my bet or even look into Palladium.

So What Is This Life Changing Event For A Stay at Home Dad Anyway?

Well as a stay home dad now for over two and half years and , BOY has it been a heap of fun, we are fast approaching August 3rd.

August 3rd is when Luke will have his little brother, Emma will finally be able have some alcohol (hell so will I for that matter, being very supportive, LOL) she will be able eat antipasti, all dried meats and unpasturised cheeses (one of her favourites) and me?  Well I will get my wife back and my side of the bed back as well!

No more phrases from Emma like “I’m carry your child” or “I’m eating for two” or even “There are two of us on this side of the bed, we need more space don’t you know!”

In truth with, no joking, I simply can’t wait to have another healthy little boy running about the place … wish us luck!

I used to meet people every week that said they were close to becoming just another statistic.  Everybody has seen ansd heard the 97% that is banded about.  I just refuse to be one of those statistics and don’t want any of my team to give up either, as I believe with my help they can succeed where others have failed.  Too many people I know lack the support they crave and deserve.

Some budding internet marketers really struggle to build their own teams in training programs and this has a severe effect on their own ability to build their own successful online business.  Why? because if they are new themselves, they struggle to promote them ethically … not to mention the problems with confidence.

And, not just me either as my wife Emma is now beside me on the sofa enjoying the French Open tennis tournament.

Emma is now off work on extended maternity leave as we pay countdown to the birth of our second son and brother to Luke.  We both love our sport, golf, tennis, rugby, athletics and the odd game of attractive football.

We have the Olympics in London this year and so should make this year a really special one with all concerned.  We have just finished celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee as well.

What else can make 2012 great as a stay at home dad?

A healthy bonny little boy to add to our family, only a few weeks left to wait.  As a stay at home dad of over two and half years now, I am relishing the next arrival.

Emma is going to be around a little longer this time round and so will take on her fair share of the tasks that I had to do for the first time before. However, she will also NOT miss any of the special moments I have had the pleasure of experiencing with Luke, as a stay at home dad.
